Alice R. (Starliper) Harbaugh, 88, of New Castle, Del., passed away Aug. 30, 2010, at Franciscan Care Center at Brackenville.
Born Dec. 15, 1921, in Mercersburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Henry William and Myrtle Rhea (Houpt) Starliper.
She was the wife of the late Jack Harbaugh, who passed away in 2006.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Sherry L. Vito of New Castle, Del.; grandson, Derek Vito and his wife Julie of Newark, Del.; three great-grandchildren, Jack, Alexa and Owen of Hockessin, Del.; two sisters, Pat McClelland of Williamsport, Md., and Betty Jane Florian of Orlando, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Crist, and brother, Elmer Starliper.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 4, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour before the service at the funeral home.
