Hagerstown, MD Amy Elizabeth Myers, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away, Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Williamsport Nursing Home.
Born December 24, 1921 in Claremore, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Albert M. Bolinger and Louisa J. (Stout) Bolinger, who was a citizen of the Cherokee Nation.
Amy was a homemaker and a member of the Park Road Bible Church in Hagerstown where she worked in the nursery.
She was an avid bowler on a Lady's Bowling League. She also enjoyed traveling, seamstressing and needle work.
She is survived by her children; Joyce L. Walker and husband, William P. of Greenbackville, Va., David M. Myers and wife, Mary (Baldwin) of Elkton, Md., Nancy J. Myers of Hagerstown and Kenneth L. Myers both of Hagerstown; 6 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years Milton E. Myers; five siblings, Amanda Collins, Homer, Oather, Nolan and Claude Bolinger.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Avenue, Hagerstown, with the Rev. Ron Key officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 7-9 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Park Road Bible Church, 750 Park Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
