Anna Virginia Mae Mills, 71, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Anna was born in Hagerstown on October 1, 1946. She was the daughter of the late Mary (Mulligan) and Alfred Henson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 25 years, Thurman Eugene Mills; two daughters Victoria Louise Mills and Edith Lorraine Mills; one brother Lewis Henson; and five sisters Linda Martin, Mary Cantrell, Evelyn Detwiler, Mildred Betts and Roseanna Brewer.
Anna loved bingo and Elvis.
Anna is survived by one daughter Patricia Horning; one son Vernon "Bill" Mills and wife Darlene; 3 grandchildren Natasha, Brandon, and Robert; 5 great grandchildren Haley, Jasmine, Layla, Skylor, and Addison; one sister Tina Stottlemyer and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, Nov. 6, 2017 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc. 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. Hagerstown, MD. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
