Arnold Ray Strickland, Jr., 48, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, September 20, 2014, at his home.
Born, January 19, 1966 in Baltimore, Maryland he was the son of Arnold Ray Strickland, Sr. of North Carolina and Janet S. (Trovinger) Folmer of Hagerstown.
Ray was a self-employed mechanic and attended The Good Shepherd Ministries Church, Hagerstown.
In addition to his parents he also is survived by his step father, Robin G. Folmer; two daughters, Destini Rae Cole and husband, Douglas and Elizabeth Grace Strickland, all of Sharpsburg; one brother, Benton Lee Strickland and wife Michelle of Hagerstown; seven grandchildren, Cameron D. Cole, Kaliyah S. Cole, Danicka R. Cole, Zaiden K. Cole, Harmony I. Koontz, Lakota K. Herbert and Elijah E. Herbert.
Ray was preceded in death by one grandchild, Cadyn A. Cole.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Jeff Casto officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
