Barbara Ann Ensminger

Barbara Ann (Moore) Ensminger, 80, of Hagerstown, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018 at Sterling Care At South Mountain, in Boonsboro.
Born March 13, 1938 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John H. "Chuck" and Jane (Andrews) Moore.
She was a 1956 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
Barbara retired from Kauffman nursing home after many years as a CNA.
She was a member of Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Williamsport. Barbara was a member of the Maryland Retreads motorcycle group, where she invented the club hug.
She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Joseph Calvin Ensminger; a son, Jeffrey Ensminger and wife Patsy of Boonsboro; a brother, John R. Moore and wife Joyce; two grandchildren, Katie Ann Wilkinson and Megan Renee Ensminger; and a great-grandson, Rylan McLean.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Dixie Smith.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral and again following the burial.
Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara's name to Rehoboth United Methodist Church, 30 E. Salisbury St., Williamsport, MD 21795.
