Berniece Marie Bonebrake

Berniece Marie Bonebrake, 84, of Greencastle, Pa. passed away, Thursday, June 17, 2021 at WellSpan Chambersburg Hospital.
Born December 15, 1936 in Mercersburg, Pa. she was the daughter of the late, John W. and Bessie May (Gordon) Dorty. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Glenn Darrell Bonebrake; five brothers and sisters, Wayne Dorty, Sylvia Weller, Pauline Bain, Raymond Dorty and Floyd Dorty.
In addition to being a homemaker Mrs. Bonebrake had worked as a waitress and for Nibble with Gibbles Potato Chips.
She is survived by five children: Darrell L. Bonebrake and wife Patricia "Trish" of Ellicott City, Md., David E. Bonebrake of Hagerstown, Md., Glenn A. Bonebrake, Brenda M. Bonebrake and companion Randy Taylor, Sr. and Steven W. Bonebrake, all of Greencastle; five siblings, Verna Phenicie, Geraldine Zimmerman, Carol Mellott, John Dorty, Jr. and Hazel Nelson; two granddaughters, Colleen Bonebrake of Greencastle and Megan Bonebrake of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one step granddaughter, Autumn Gossard; one great grandson, Kash Swaim and two step great grandsons, Wyatt and Keegan.
Berniece loved her granddaughters, Colleen and Megan beyond words, and cherished her one-year old great grandson, Kash. She was loved and will be extremely missed by all.
Graveside services will be private and conducted at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Berniece's name to the Antietam Humane Society.
