Betty Eleanor Grimm

Betty Eleanor (Wine) Grimm, 92, of Hagerstown, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Golden Living Center.
Born September 5, 1922 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Singleton and Claudia (Kerns) Wine.
Betty retired as matron of the Hagerstown Day Nursery.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Clarence William Grimm; five sisters, Anna Dickens, Emma Johnson, Virginia Unseld, Peggy Weaver, Jessie Manick; and two brothers, James and Walter Wine.
She is survived by her daughter, Claudia J. Grimm; a brother, R.C. "Scotty" Wine, both of Hagerstown; 14 nieces and nephews; and her favorite cat, Patches.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00am on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Valley Assembly of God, 17544 York Rd., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Robert C. Jones, Sr. and Rev. Dottie Holden officiating. Burial will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 9:00-10:00am at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. on Thursday.
