Elizabeth "Betty" L. (Angle) Nye, 92, of Hagerstown, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 17, 2019.
Born November 13, 1926 in Welsh Run, PA., she was the daughter of the late Charles R. Angle, Sr. and Anna (Zimmerman) Angle.
She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Walter J. Nye, February 2, 2007; her daughter, Nancy Jo Weirich, January 16, 2012; a brother, Charles R. Angle II, in 1941; and a sister, Mary Jane Lippy, in 2016.
Betty graduated from Hagerstown High School with the class of 1944 and Hagerstown Business College in 1945.
She was employed with Fairchild Aircraft for 40 years.
Betty was a member of Maranatha Brethren Church in Hagerstown.
She is survived by her two grandsons, Jeffrey C. Weirich and wife Danielle of Indiana and Nathan C. Weirich and wife Elissa of Sharpsburg; five great-grandchildren, Reghan Weirich, Parker Weirich, Nathan Weirich II, and wife Michelle, Madison Weirich, Devon Proctor and husband Adam; a great-great-grandson, Nathan Weirich III.; two sister-in-laws, Charlotte Shirley and husband Vernon of Hagerstown, and Bernice Nye of Lexington, VA.
Betty will be laid to rest privately in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, beside of her husband.
