Betty Virginia Drury, 80, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010, at Washington County Hospital.
Born Nov. 17, 1929, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Frank M. and Helen P. (Everly) McCarney.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel B. Drury Sr., in 2003.
Betty is survived by four daughters, Rita Dawson and husband, Michael, of Waynesboro, Pa., Jenny Hawbaker and husband, Daniel, of Greencastle, Pa., Gloria Ends and husband, Scottie, of Hedgesville, W.Va., and Kim Harbaugh and husband, Richard II, of Hagerstown; two sons, Daniel Drury Jr. of Hagerstown, and Richard Drury and wife, Petra, of Hagerstown; four brothers, Frank McCarney of Hagerstown, Raymond McCarney of Chewsville, Eugene McCarney of Hagerstown and Jack McCarney of Hagerstown; one sister, Shirley McDonald; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Margie Ann Drury; one son, Eugene Drury; one grandson, Jeremy Dawson; two sisters; and three brothers.
Funeral services will be Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 9:30 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Chaplain Sally Maxwell officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
