Blaine Chester Ward

Blaine Chester Ward, 77, of Hagerstown, passed away from complications of Covid-19 at his home on Saturday, December 5, 2020.
Born on July 11, 1943 in Baltimore, MD, Blaine was the son of the late Blaine C. and Norine Beatrice (Mummert) Ward. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of 43 years, Thuyrle (Williamson) Ward. He was also loved very much by his son, Loren Ward, who also passed away.
Blaine graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1961. He worked at Mack Truck for 43 years as a Machinist until his retirement. In his later years, he owned and operated T&N Liquors.
Blaine is survived by his faithful Akita, Nikki. He is also survived by his dear friend, Donna Miller of Martinsburg, WV.
A graveside service will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jim Gross officiating. Friends will be received at Rest Haven Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face masks and social distancing are required.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Blaine's name can be made to the animal shelter of one's choice.
