Brenda Jean (Hammersla) East, 59, of Hagerstown, gained her wings on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Doey's House.
Born in Hagerstown on January 20, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Connie Jean (Kershner) Hammersla and Jack Lewis Hammersla, Sr. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by two brothers Russell E. Hammersla and James A. Hammersla.
Brenda attended Smithsburg High School.
She enjoyed her work as a sales associate at Kmart in Hagerstown.
She loved painting, coloring, board and video games, and most of all, spending time with her loving family.
Left to cherish her memory are daughters Roxanne Palmer of New Market, MD, Cynthia East of Harpers Ferry, WV, Jessica East of Hagerstown; three grandchildren Shawn East, Lucas East and Ellie Kramer; a brother Jack L. Hammersla, Jr. of Smithsburg; and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held at 5:30pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Chaplain Duane Musgrove officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
