Brian Ashley Plummer, 42, of Funkstown, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012, at his familyâ??s home in Williamsport.
Born April 16, 1970, in Hagerstown, he was the son of Charles William and Donna Jean (Eyler) Plummer of Williamsport.
Brian graduated from Williamsport High School in 1988 and James Rumsey Technical Institute in 1991.
He had worked as a salesman for Word Processing Services and most recently as a salesman for Twigg Cycles Inc., both of Hagerstown.
He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Hagerstown.
Brian loved his job. He was an avid Baltimore Ravens football fan, he loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, motorcycling, motocross racing, snow skiing and snowboarding, and hanging out with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one loving and devoted sister, Tracey Lynn Poffenberger and husband, Elmer W., of Hagerstown; many loving aunts and uncles, including his caring and devoted aunt, Lisa J. Beach of Falling Waters, W.Va.; loving aunt, Sandra A. Hutzell and husband, Robert L., of Hagerstown; two nieces and one nephew, whom he loved dearly, Emily R., Hailey N. and Seth W. Poffenberger; cousins, devoted Robert L. Hutzell Jr. of Hagerstown, Denise M. McKeon and husband, Thomas, of Milford, Pa., Teresa A. Smith and husband, Troy, of Hagerstown, and Lexi and Cameron Beach, both of Falling Waters; and his second cousin, Christopher Rose of Hagerstown.
Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Catherine V. (Delauter) Eyler Brumbaugh; maternal grandfather, Vance William Eyler; paternal grandparents, Samuel B. and Pearl H. (Price) Plummer; maternal great-grandmother, Dolly V. Eyler Shank; and paternal great-grandparents, William H. and Blanche Price.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Clark D. Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Brianâ??s name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
