Carlos Julio Reyes

Carlos Julio Reyes was born in Bogotá, Colombia, on December 24, 1937, and passed away peacefully on May 23, 2022, surrounded by his loving family at his Hagerstown residence at the age of 84.
Carlos met Clara Inés, his partner for 67 years and wife of almost 63 years (They would it celebrate his 63rd anniversary on August 7, 2022). Their marriage of lifetime was filled by great children and happy memories.
A man of few words, but yes, he always spoke of how proud he felt about the love, the strength and the courage that keep our family united.
No matter how quiet he was at times, he had a calm energy, serenity and patience that always help us to overcome the difficult times. His contagious and naughty smile would make him life of the party.
Carlos J. Reyes is survived by his wife Clara and their five children, Carlos, Yaneth, Alejandro, Sonia and Viviana, in the company of his 15 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
The Reyes family will continue to honor his name by living with the qualities and teachings that left us through his life.
A Mass will be celebrated in his name on Friday, May 27 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph's (17630 Virginia Ave-Hagerstown) and memorial will be held on Sunday, May 29 at the Rest Haven Funeral Home (1601 Pennsylvania Ave-Hagerstown), beginning visits at 12:00 p.m. and the memorial will be at 1:00 p.m.

Carlos Julio Reyes nació en Bogotá, Colombia, el 24 de diciembre de 1937 y falleció tranquilamente el 23 de mayo de 2022, rodeado de su familia, en su residencia de Hagerstown a la edad de 84 años.

Carlos conoció a Clara Inés, su compañera por 67 años y esposa de casi 63 años (Celebrarían su 63 aniversario, el 7 de agosto de 2022). Un matrimonio de casi toda una vida de hermosos frutos y felices recuerdos.

Un hombre de pocas palabras, pero siempre expreso lo orgulloso que se sentía del amor, la fuerza y el coraje que aún sigue uniendo nuestra familia.

Tenía una energía tranquilizante que contagiaba serenidad y paciencia en los momentos más difíciles. Su sonrisa contagiosa y picara lo convertían en el alma de la fiesta.

A Carlos J. Reyes, le sobreviven su esposa Clara y sus cinco hijos, Carlos, Yaneth, Alejandro, Sonia y Viviana en compañía de sus 15 nietos y 5 bisnietos.

La familia Reyes seguirá honrando su nombre con las cualidades y enseñanzas que nos dejó a través de su vida.

Se celebrará una misa en su nombre el viernes 27 de mayo a las 2:00 pm en St. Joseph's (17630 Virginia Ave-Hagerstown) y el memorial se llevará a cabo el domingo 29 de mayo en la Funeraria Rest Haven (1601 Pennsylvania Ave-Hagerstown), comenzando las visitas a las 12:00 p.m. y el memorial se hará a la 1:00 p.m.
