Catherine T. Saylor, 93 of Frederick formerly of Thurmont, passed away, Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Record Street Home, Frederick.
Born July 2, 1919 in Westminster, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ray R. and Anna Belle (Dill) Taylor.
Catherine was the office manager for Saylor Incorporated , a construction company she ran along with her husband, Lee. Previously, around the time of the building of Camp David she was a secretary for the US Government's Civilian Conservation Corps. She also was a former Post Mistress in Lance, Maryland.
She was a lifelong member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, Thurmont and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Catherine is survived by two sons, Lee R. Saylor, Jr. and wife Toni of Emmitsburg and Randolph B. Saylor and wife Wendy of Hagerstown; a daughter, Suzanne S. Behlke of Raleigh, N.C.; nine grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Lee R. Saylor; a daughter, Barbara Saylor Lookingbill and a sister, Ruth Taylor Gross.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 15 N. Church St., Thurmont , with Pastor Susan Beck officiating.
Inurnment will be private and conducted at a later date.
