Charles Linford Benner

Charles Linford "Peewee" Benner, Sr., 72, of Hagerstown, died on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at his home.
Born October 4, 1940 in Sharpsburg, he was the son of the late Arthur Henry and Martha (Butts) Benner Flook.
He was employed by Victor Products for 17 years. He married Kathleen (Cook) Benner on September 14, 1973.
Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen; his children, Charles Linford Benner, Jr., of Greencastle, Tina Marie Benner Hummer of Waynesboro, Lisa Ann Benner Briggs of Greencastle, Charles Lee Benner, Sr. of Hagerstown, Wayne Eugene Benner and wife Robin of Greencastle, Diane Michelle Benner and fiancé Mario Dattilio of Greencastle; daughter-in-law, Pristina Funk Benner of Hagerstown; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Carolyn Benner of Hagerstown; brother-in-law, Danny Kline of Smithsburg; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews; and his faithful dog, Harley.
In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by his brothers, Robert Lee Benner, Sr., Jerry Frederick Benner; sister, Alice Marie Kline; and a grandson, Shane Michael Benner.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Edward Poling officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
