Charles Rodney Wiederhold

June 11, 1947 — January 7, 2013

Charles Rodney Wiederhold, 65, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, January 7, 2013 at Julia Manor Health Care Center, Hagerstown and is once again in the company of his beloved Labrador's, Tony and Dancer.

Born, June 11, 1947 in Hagerstown he was the son of the late, Laurence J. and Helen Marie (Berre) Wiederhold.

Charlie was a 1965 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and an Auburn University Alumni.

He was a free lance environmental architect, who believed strongly in the conservation and balance of nature. He was a member of the Defenders of the Wildlife, The Nature Conservancy and the World Wildlife Federation.

He was a veteran of the US Army Reserve and a member of the Morris Frock American Legion, Post No. 42.

He is survived by two sisters, Suzi W. Stricker of Hagerstown and Jan W. Smith of Martinsburg; a nephew, Scott L. Stricker and fiancé Leanne Borowski and their daughter, Nika of Colorado and three exceptional friends, Greg Herbert and William and Cynthia Nalley, all of Hagerstown and additional friends scattered across the country.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
