Christopher Lee Benner

Christopher Lee "Chris" Benner, 22, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.
Born September 24, 1994 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, he was the son of Ronnie Lee and Mary Ruth (Hott) Benner of Chambersburg.
Chris was a 2012 graduate of Washington County Technical High School, where he was an electrical technician.
Chris was a member of Downsville Christian Church and a former member of Boy Scouts of America troop #58. He enjoyed fishing, trips to the beach, attending tractor and truck pulls, monster truck shows, and working on cars with his father. Chris was also a talented musician, playing both the violin and guitar. He will be deeply missed.
In addition to his parents, he is also survived by his sister, Jessica Benner; maternal grandparents, Marvin and Joann Hott; paternal-grandparents, James and Nancy Boyer; grandmother, Loretta Barr; great-grandmother, Ruth Kuhn; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family.
Chris was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jerry Benner.
A funeral service will be held at 7:00pm on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Craig Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
Inurnment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Downsville Christian Church, Williamsport, MD 21795.
