Clarence William Shifflett, Jr.

Clarence William Shifflett, Jr., 82 of Hagerstown, passed away, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Doey's House. God gained another angel.
Born August 31, 1935 in Shenandoah, Va. he was the son of the late, Clarence W. Shifflett, Sr. and Rosa Lee (Womack) Shifflett. He also was preceded in death by his loving wife, Anna Mae (Burdette) Shifflett; an infant son, Clarence Russell Shifflett; six brothers, Johnnie, Ray, Herbert, Willie, Lee and Robert Shifflett; one sister, Mary Louise Warble.
Mr. Shifflett was a hard working man and retired from construction. He was a member of Trinity Full Gospel Church, Hagerstown.
He loved his family and was a diehard Orioles fan.
He is survived by three daughters, Cherry Herring (Jeffrey) of Harrisonburg, Va., Rosa Brown (John) and Melissa McDermott, all of Hagerstown; a step son, Ward "Woody" Williamson, Jr. (Stacy) of Falling Waters, W.Va.; three step daughters, Debbie Dellinger of Timberville, Va., Shirley Strite (Gary) of Hagerstown and Bonnie Legg-Offenbacker of Grotttoes, Va.; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Southerly (Matt) of Timberville, Justin Sprinkle of Harrisonburg, Travis Herring (fiance, Kristen Loucks) of Verona, Va., Makayla McDermott, Megan Brown, Michael Brown, Mikeyia Longfellow, Makarie Longfellow, all of Hagerstown; eleven step grandchildren; five great grandchildren and sixteen step great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Samuel Fendley officiating. Mr. Shifflett has requested that everyone attending his funeral wear their favorite Orioles attire.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7-9 P.M.
