Clyde Edward Carbaugh

November 5, 1916 — December 12, 2017

Clyde Edward Carbaugh, 101 of Hagerstown, passed into eternal peace on December 12, 2017 at Doeys Hospice House, while surrounded by loving family & dear friends.

Born November 5, 1916 in Waynesboro, PA., he was the son of the late Charles and Iva (Martin) Carbaugh.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Allen Carbaugh; three brothers, Robert Carbaugh, James Carbaugh, and Byers Carbaugh.

He enjoyed a long, healthy and happy life, survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

Clyde was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army Signals Corp. for over 5 years.

He retired from Potomac Edison Company, after 32 years of service.

He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and was a Proud Golden Eagle of NRA.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church & The Friendship Mens Class.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc., 1601 Pennsylvania Ave, Hagerstown, with Pastors Ray Barger and Kevin Booth officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to the National Rifle Association of America, 11250 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030.
