Cyril Manzella Hargett

Cyril Manzella Hargett, 88, formerly of Boonsboro, passed away, Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Charlotte's Home, Maugansville, Md.
Born March 25, 1929 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Thomas Jefferson Boyd and Anna May (Myers) Martin Boyd. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years Richard A. Hargett; a daughter, Edna I. Hargett; one brother, John Boyd and four sisters, Ethel Denhertog, Rita Hocker, Thelma Detterline and Sarah Lehman.
Mrs. Hargett retired with 18 years of service as a seamstress for Londontown Manufacturing, Boonsboro, previously she had been employed by Peoples Drug Store and Marshalls Plumbing and Heating, Hagerstown.
She was a Methodist by faith and a member of the Boonsboro American Legion, Clopper Michael Post 10 Ladies Auxiliary, AARP, Democratic Club of Boonsboro, Boonsboro Senior Citizen's Club where she served as a former president and vice president, Manor Church Senior Citizens and a former teacher for the Boy and Girl Scouts of America.
She is survived by two children, Anna May Hargett of Hagerstown and Richard Allen Hargett of Lithonia, Ga; three grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, William Boyd and wife Linda of Pennsylvania;
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Michael Seger officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral Home on Wednesday from 7-9 P.M. and on Thursday one hour prior to services.
