Daniel Bruce Shank, Sr.

Daniel Bruce Shank Sr., 79, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, April 28, 2017, at Julia Manor Health Care Center, Hagerstown.
Born June 30, 1937, in Big Pool, Md., he was the son of Carl Thurston and Dorothy May (Cameron) Shank, who preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joan A. (Smith) Shank; and one brother, James W. Shank.
Mr. Shank was a member of Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, Big Pool.
He was a self-employed electrician and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by one son, Daniel B. Shank Jr. and wife, Ellen; four grandchildren; one brother, Robert T. Shank; and one sister, Pat Carpenter, all of Hagerstown.
Rest Haven Funeral Home in Hagerstown is assisting the family with the arrangements.
