Debra Sue (Stottlemyer) Poore, 62, of Frederick, passed away on Friday, September 12, 2014 at her home.
Born February 28, 1952 in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Cleatys S. Sr. and Alice Ann (Haines) Stottlemyer.
Debra was a 1970 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. She earned her Bachelors degree at Hood College and went on to get her Masters degree.
She last worked as a senior contract administrator at BAE Systems.
Debra enjoyed reading, dancing, gardening, biking, watching movies and was a history buff.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Stacy and Hattie Stottlemyer; her maternal grandparents, Elmer and Ellen Haines; her sister, Sherry A. Stottlemyer; her longtime companion, Arthur Hoffman; and her "beloved baby girl', Amanda.
She is survived by two brothers, Cleatys S. Stottlemyer, Jr., Richard A. Stottlemyer; her aunt, Judy Marlin Swope and her husband Ted; her cousin, Bobby Anderson and his wife Andrea; and her former husband, Phil Poore.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received from 7-9pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
