Delores May Henson, 71, of Big Pool passed away Wednesday May 31, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Born May 13, 1951, in Washington county. She is the daughter of the late Leo Francis Henson and Martha Crampton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers, Ricky Henson and Leroy Henson, one sister Peggy Gatrell, and a granddaughter Braylena Socks.
Delores retired from the Board of education after working there for 31 years. She loved making crafts, painting, gardening, and fishing. Most of all she enjoyed spending her free time at the Charles Town racetrack playing the slots. She even bought a blue truck because it was her favorite color.
She is survived by her five sisters, Charlotte Tracey, Rose Lushbaugh, Martha Hart, Reba Cole, and Naomi Golden. One brother Donald Henson. Her twins, daughter Martha Woods, and son Ronald Stover, Jr. and other daughter Bobbie Stover, and numerous grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was loved very much by her family and will be missed dearly.
Friends and Family are welcome to the Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, June 5th at 1 P.M. at the Big Pool Community Center.
