Dolly Mae Powers

Dolly Mae Powers, 85, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born December 20, 1932 in Clintwood, Va. she was the daughter of the late, George H. and Olzie D. (Deel) Rose. She also was preceded in death by her husband, C.L. Emerson Powers; a son, Israel G. Powers; a brother, John H. Rose and a sister, Helen L. Cody.
Mrs. Powers attended, Point of Rocks Baptist Church and was a member of the Funkstown American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She retired as a manager of Highs Dairy Store, Frederick and also had worked as a seamstress for the Hanover Shoe Factory.
Mrs. Powers is survived by five children. Lloyd, Hugh, Emerson and Shane Powers and Crystal Ewing; four siblings, Arvil and Roger Rose, Elizabeth Sluss and Dorothy Hager; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jonathan Cook officiating.
Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Jefferson, Md.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday one hour prior to the service.
