Dolores Jane Weaver

Dolores Jane Weaver, 85, of Hagerstown, passed away, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her home.
Born March 22, 1932 in Maryland she was the daughter of the late, Howard and Ruth (Peters) Plank. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by two sons, Marvin L. Weaver, Jr. and Allen P. Weaver; three brothers, James "Jim" Plank, Doyle "Jake" Plank and Lawrence "Bud" Plank.
Mrs. Weaver retired from the Washington County Board of Education as a teachers assistant at the Kemp Horn School in Smithsburg where she was known as Momma D.
She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hagerstown and the Dixon-Troxell American Legion Post 211, Ladies Auxiliary, Funkstown.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by her loving husband of 68 plus years, Marvin L. "Joe" Weaver; one brother, Glenn "Pete" Plank; a daughter in law, Linda Laverty and several nieces and nephews including, Doyle "Butch" Plank.
A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. George A. Limmer officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Dolores's name to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
