Donald Wilfred "Don" Bell
Donald Wilfred "Don" Bell, 81, of Hagerstown, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at his home.
Born January 2, 1933 in Terra Alta, WV., he was the son of the late Virgil C. and Evelyn (Calvert) Bell.
Don was a graduate of Allegany High School in Cumberland, MD.
He retired from Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company.
Don was a member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed playing the guitar.
Surviving him is his daughter, Beverly Ann Bell; his former wife, Rosemund Bell, both of Hagerstown; two sisters, Helen Smith and husband Kenneth, Loretta Jean Johnson and husband Sam both of Springfield, Virginia and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Bell and his wife, Mary.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00am on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Chaplain Mike Simane officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
