Dorothy Ann Mellott

Dorothy Ann Mellott, 81, of Keedysville, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 10, 2020 at Ravenwood Nursing Home, Hagerstown.
Born on May 29, 1939 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Marion Esther (Black) and Willis Patterson Kinch. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Lee Mellott.
Dorothy attended Hagerstown High School. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Winchester, VA.
Dorothy volunteered much of her time at Winchester Medical Center and Ravenwood Nursing Home.
Dorothy also worked along side President Carter to establish handicapped parking and accessibility in the State of Maryland and Nationally.
She is survived by her daughter; Lori Ann Hudlow and husband Timothy of Keedysville, her sister Suzanne Carol Raber of Lebanon, PA, her brother Russell Allen Kinch of South Carolina, Grandchildren; Phoebe, Zack, Caleb and Elijah, and Great Grandchildren; Presley, Remi, Livy and Gabriel.
Due to COVID-19, a Celebration Memorial Service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy's name to Covenant Church, 7485 Shepherdstown Pike, P O Box 1674, Shepherdstown, WV 25443.
