Dorothy "Dottie" Cramer

Dorothy "Dottie" June (Harley) Cramer, 90, of Smithsburg, passed away at Meritus Medical Center on Thursday, April 1, 2021.
Born on October 1, 1930 in Hagerstown, Dottie was the daughter of the late Chester Earl Harley and Pearl Elizabeth Harley. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Leroy Cramer; and her sisters, Virginia Bitner and Ada Jackson.
Dottie graduated from Hagerstown High School and worked as an Accountant for Gerrianne Hammond CPA until her retirement in 1998. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Hagerstown. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening and quilting.
Dottie is survived by her son, Gary Lee Cramer of Smithsburg; and her daughter, Pamela Sue Gladhill of Smithsburg. She is also survived by her grandsons, Jason Gladhill, Joshua Gladhill, and Chester Cramer; her great-grandson, Maverick Cramer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 6 at 2:00 PM at Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown with Dr. Bill Miller officiating. Friends will be received at Rest Haven Funeral Home at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Washington County Community Action Council or the Washington County Humane Society.
