Dwayne Earl Mitts, 51, of Finksburg, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at home.

Born Sept. 21, 1960, in Frederick, he was the son of the late Earl Griffith and Pearl LaVinia Hooper Mitts.

He was last employed with Roll Off Express as a truck driver. He also helped out with maintenance at the Full Moon Pub and Grill, and was also a licensed lock smith.

He enjoyed collecting antiques including ephemera, glass bottles, and books. He had a stamp and coin collection from all over the world. He also enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his dog, Sadie.

He was a lifetime member of the North American Hunting and Fishing Clubs, as well as the Handyman Club of America.

Surviving are a daughter, Rhea Miranda Mitts; a son, Nathan Griffith Mitts; a granddaughter, Kristian Marie Crossin; brothers Henry, Denny, and Ty Mitts; a sister, Earlene Sawyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends may visit from 5 p.m. until the time of memorial service, 7 p.m. Thursday at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Private inurnment will be held in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
