E. Joan Kretsinger

E. Joan Kretsinger, 86, of Williamsport, passed away, Monday, October 5, 2015, at Homewood of Williamsport. Born June 23, 1929 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, Robert S. Martin and Dorothy E. (Chaney) Martin Snyder. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by her loving husband, Philip W. Kretsinger, Sr.; a son, Philip W. Kretsinger, Jr. and his wife, Dorthea E. Kretsinger and a brother, Robert Martin. Mrs. Kretsinger retired from the former F&M Bank as supervisor of Bookkeeping. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Williamsport and was an active member of the Halfway Garden Club. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia K. "Cindy" Harrison (Bill) of Charlotte Hall, Md.; five grandchildren, Jen Snook (Todd), Seth Kretsinger (Juliana), Catherine Flowers (John), Benjamin Harrison (Victoria) and Krista McGee (Michael); seven great grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Gloria C. Martin and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Kimberly Nunberg officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
