Earl William Wyand, 72, of Falling Waters, passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.
Born April 25, 1938, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Carl S. and Edith (Welty) Wyand.
Earl was a 1956 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
He was the owner and operator of Funeral Transportation Services.
Earl is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Delores C. (Beaver) Wyand; three sons, Stephen W. Wyand and wife, Colleen, of Martinsburg, Matthew C. Wyand and wife, Jillian, also of Martinsburg, and Jonathan R. Wyand of Falling Waters; four grandchildren, Stephen Dakota Wyand, Saniah J. Wyand, Alexis Maynard and Gerald Jones Jr., all at home; also a sister, Carletta Sauble and husband, Edward, of Hagerstown. He is also survived by two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. John Jicha officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
