Edith M. Bubil Peacock

Edith M. (Bubil) Peacock, 94, of Chambersburg, Pa, formerly of Lemasters and State Line, Pa, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017 at Falling Spring Nursing Home, Chambersburg. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Born in Scranton, Pa on April 15, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Esther Emily (Richards) and Frank J. Bubil. In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, Francis Albert "Frank" Peacock, Sr., son Brad Peacock, Sr., 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
She was a member of the Hagerstown St. Johns Episcopal Church.
Edith retired from the Hagerstown Sears Roebuck where she worked in the catalog department.
Edith is survived by a daughter, Nancy Bowers and husband Roger of Chambersburg; a son, Frank Peacock, Jr. and wife Helene of Greencastle; 8 grandchildren, Roger Bowers and wife Krista, Jeff Bowers, Dena Bonebrake, Megan Peacock, Pam Shaw and husband Loren, Michael Peacock, Brad Peacock, Jr. and wife Jenni, and Traci Peacock; 7 great-grandchildren, Cole Bonebrake, Jenna and Gavin Bowers, Nathan and Amanda Shaw, Audrey and Heidi Peacock.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 on Tuesday, Jan 2, 2017 at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2017, at Rest Haven Funeral Home, Inc. 1601 Pennsylvania Ave Hagerstown, MD 21742. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Edith's name to Falling Spring Nursing Home, 201 Franklin Farm Ln, Chambersburg, PA 17202.
