Elaine Ruth (Kershner) Byers, 83, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully, Friday, August 13, 2021 at Doey's House, Hagerstown.
Born on March 19, 1938 in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Emma Kathern (Cromer) and Harvey Russell Kershner.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, William Edward Byers, Jr., Brother Robert Kershner and his wife, Stacia, Sisters; Jean Beard and her husband Robert, and Joan Brewer.
Elaine graduated from Hagerstown High School, Class of 1956, and was a Homemaker.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Sue (Byers) Lester and husband Adam of Gray, ME, Brother; Richard Kershner and wife Joan of California, Sister; Donna Brown of Florida and Brother in law; Robert Brewer of Funkstown.
Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
