Elizabeth Frances Robison

Elizabeth Frances (Price) Robison, 86, of Hagerstown, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at her home.

Born July 26, 1924, in Luray, Va., she was the daughter of the late Earl Edward and Regora Alice (Sours) Price.

During World War II, she worked at Fairchild Aircraft. She went on to retire from Mack Trucks as a cafeteria employee in 1985.

Elizabeth was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hagerstown and the Queen Esther Chapter 3 Order of the Eastern Star in Hagerstown. She was an avid bowler, and, in the 1970s and 80s, was a member of the Washington County Homemaker's Bowling League.

She is survived by her former husband, Carl Gilbert Robison Sr. of Hagerstown; three daughters, Dianne Reid of Hagerstown, Beverly Robison of Harpers Ferry, W.Va., and Carleen Martz of Hagerstown; a son, Carl G. Robison II of Oakland, Md.; two sisters, Darma Jones and Delores Sours, both of Luray; a brother, Lewis Price of Marrieta, Calif.; four grandchildren, Sherie Kershner of Falling Waters, W.Va., Earnest Ackerman Jr. of Washington, D.C., and Arron Robison and Andrea Robison, both of Hagerstown; four great-grandchildren, Baily Kershner, Taylor Kershner, Avery Kershner and Rylan Ackerman; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was also preceded in death by two sisters, Marie Price and Ritha Brown, and a brother, Elvin Price.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Clark D. Carr officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
