Evelyn May Kershner

Evelyn May "Nan" (Carter) Kershner, 75, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away Friday, April 23, 2010, at Western Maryland Hospital Center.
Born June 9, 1934, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late John Frances and Amelia (Turner) Carter.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, George R. Kershner; two daughters, Cynthia Kay French and husband, Clyde, and Sharon Ann King and husband, David, both of Hagerstown; a son, Steven Lynn Kershner and wife, Camille, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a granddaughter, Stephanie Pine and husband, Jeff, of Clear Spring; two grandsons, Steven Lynn Kershner Jr. of Greencastle, Pa., and Brent Kershner of Clear Spring; a great-granddaughter, Jordan Pine of Clear Spring; and a great-grandson, Gerald V. Hafer.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by seven brothers; two sisters; and a grandson, David W. Hafer.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Dr. David C. Baker officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Broadfording Cemetery in Hagerstown.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
