Felton Cecil Shows, Sr., 89, of Falling Waters, West Virginia, passed away, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Williamsport Retirement Village.
Born June 4, 1928 in Curo, Texas he was the son of the late, Adam Julis and Lena Mae (Steen) Shows. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by six siblings, Duffy Shows, Irene Reynolds, Faye Boldt, Clifford Shows, A. Julius Shows and Raymond Shows.
Mr. Shows retired as a HVAC&R master engineer.
He was a US Army veteran of WW II where he served as a paratrooper.
He was a member of Wayside Baptist Church, Hagerstown and the VFW Post 3972, Curo, Tx.
Mr. Shows is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Alice Jane (Miller) Shows; one son, Felton C. Shows, Jr. (Claudia) of Wake Forest, NC,; three daughters, Pamela J. Rubis (John) of Oakland, Md., Brenda A. Webb of Martinsburg, W.Va. and Paula I. Nikolaisen (Tony) of Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren, Christina Carney, Amanda Mohler, Brandon Nikolaisen and Kelsey Nikolaisen and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jeremy Kitchen officiating.
Interment will follow in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 6-8 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Felton's name to Wayside Baptist Church, 21303 Leiters St., Hagerstown, MD 21742 or to a charity of one's choice.
