Frances Jo Ruth

Frances Jo Ruth, 77, of Hagerstown, passed away, Monday, April 28, 2014, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 22, 1936 in Moscow, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late, Francis Joseph and Esther Emily (Richardson) Bubil. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by twin baby granddaughters, Stephanie and Jessica Zittle; one sister, Ruth Hamby; three brothers, Richard, Harold and George Bubil.
Mrs. Ruth retired in 1997 as a fiscal clerk for the State of Maryland at the Roxbury Correctional Institute, Hagerstown with 20 plus years of service.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Hagerstown and the West Hagerstown Lions Club.
Surviving are one son, Brian D. Ruth of Hagerstown; two daughters, Kellen Mason and husband Jeff of Columbus, Ohio and Krista R. Hershberger and husband Hershel of Hagerstown; one sister, Edith Peacock of Chambersburg; four grandchildren, Joshua Zittle, Katheryn Mason, Alexis Mason and Nicolette Hershberger and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with the Rev. Stan Steele officiating.
Interment will be private in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, May 2nd from 7-9 P.M.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Frances's name to the Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742
