Francine Phyllis Lenjoski

March 3, 1960 — September 30, 2011

Francine Phyllis Lenjoski, 51, of Hagerstown, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, after a courageous 10-year battle with cancer.

Born March 3, 1960, in Newark, N.J., she was the daughter of Frank and Jean (Marano) Zarrello.

Francine was a 1977 graduate of Elizabeth High School.

She was briefly employed at Martinâ??s grocery store in Hagerstown. She also worked at Pulaski Savings and Alfredoâ??s Italian Deli in New Jersey before moving to Maryland in 2010.

She was a member of the Big Boyz Toyz Truck Club in Central New Jersey and the Linden New Jersey Elks No. 289 MC.

Fran was an avid heavy-metal fan but loved all types of music. She dabbled in ceramics and collecting antiques. Her favorite sports teams were the Jets and the Yankees. Francine loved people and animals, especially her dogs, PJ and Porker, as well as her birds, Brownie and Jasper, whom she leaves behind.

In addition to her parents, Fran is also survived by her devoted husband, Roy Lenjoski; a sister, Donna Hughes and husband, Ron, of New Jersey; two nieces, Claire Hughes of New Jersey and Erin Smith of Georgia; a great-nephew, Jacob Smith, also of Georgia; two cousins, Betty and John Hopkins of Arizona and Virginia, respectively; and many other relatives and friends.

Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family at a later date in New Jersey, and will be mentioned in the coming weeks.
