Freda Mae (Davis) Nunamaker
Freda Mae (Davis) Nunamaker, 91, of Hagerstown, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 at Somerford Assisted Living.
Born October 24, 1921 in Downsville, she was the daughter of the late Roy Elmer and Zola Frances (Bitner) Davis.
Freda was a veteran of the United States Women's Army Corp.
She was a homemaker.
She was a lifelong member of Evangel Assembly of God.
Freda is survived by a son, Gary Nunamaker and wife Vicki; a daughter, Cindy Wolfinger all of Hagerstown; two sisters, June L. Andrews of Hagerstown, Mary Jane Malott of Williamsport; a brother, Roy E. Davis of Hagerstown; three grandchildren, Michael Nunamaker, Genny Hammond and husband Brian all of Hagerstown, Eric Wolfinger of Atlanta, GA; two great-grandchildren, Logan and Madison Hammond of Hagerstown; special nieces, Pam Chrisman and Kim Palmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Harold B. Nunamaker, who died in 2002; five brothers; Wilbur W. Davis, Roger E. Davis, Leonard J. Davis, Daniel H. Davis and Carl E. Davis.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00pm on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family requests memorial contributions to be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
