Gary Wayne Magaha, Jr.

Gary Wayne "Human Torch" Magaha, Jr., 46, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center.

Born April 21, 1970 in Hagerstown he was the son of, Gary Wayne Magaha, Sr. and wife Brenda of Greencastle, Pa. and Deborah Helen Nichols and husband Lynn of Hagerstown.

Gary worked for T.O.P.P. and was a self employed handy man who could fix or build anything.

His hobbies included fishing, camping and playing cards. In addition to his parents he also is survived by his loving wife, Michelle Lynn (Schultz) Magaha; four children, Brandon W. Magaha, Michael S. Magaha, Adriana L. Magaha and Elisha M. Mose, all of Hagerstown; one granddaughter, Ariella Sunstar Magaha; maternal grandmother, Helen M. Smith of Hagerstown; three brothers, Scott C. Magaha and wife Tracy of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Kenny Harbaugh of Hagerstown and Lynn L. Nichols, Jr. of Frederick, Md.; two sisters, Vickie Smith Wiles and husband Tim of Hagerstown and Cindy Sharer and husband Kenny of W. Va.; God Parents-Uncle, Harvey Smith, Jr. and Judy Ann; three uncles, Terry Magaha, Christopher Davies and John Kroboth, all of Hagerstown; four aunts, Diana Billmyer, Sandra Davies, Vickie Dorsey and Donna Kay Swope, all of Hagerstown; cousins, Paul and Sharon Summers of Hagerstown; brother in law, Bradley P. Schultz; eleven nieces and seven nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Grover C. Smith, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Glenn Magaha, Sr. and Pauline Magaha; one brother, Dennis W. Nichols, Sr.; one uncle, Glenn "Nip" Magaha; one aunt, Barbara J. Kroboth father and mother in law, James M. and Shirley A. Schultz; two brother in laws, Kenneth W. Schultz and James R. Schultz, Jr.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Dick Snyder officiating.

Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday from 5-7 P.M.
