George Lee Kline, 72, of Hagerstown, passed away at Doey’s House on Monday, August 24, 2020.
Born July 12, 1948, in Hagerstown, George was the son of the late Elmer and Edna Kline. He is also predeceased by his son, John Kline.
George was an outgoing man, who loved telling jokes and lending a helping hand. He worked as a truck driver for Hagerstown Block for 42 years, and continued to work part time after his retirement. In his spare time, George was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, boating, camping, flea markets, and vacationing in Tennessee. He was a member of IWLA.
George is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Lorraine Kline. He is also survived by his son, Daniel Kline and his wife Carol of Toms Brook, VA; and his stepdaughter Cheri Haupt and her husband Greg of Keedysville, MD. He is also survived by his sister Dottie Haupt and her husband Donald of Marlow, WV; and his mother in law, Geraldine Leather. He is survived by three grandchildren, one step grandchild, and one great grandchild. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles. He is also survived by his two dogs, Coco and Casper.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Rest Haven Cemetery. A viewing will be held at Rest Haven Funeral Home two hours prior at 10:00 AM.
