Gerald Leonard Reeder, Sr.

Gerald Leonard Reeder Sr., 77, of Hagerstown, passed away Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born April 5, 1933, in Boonsboro, he was the son of the late Stanley and Lillian (Wise) Reeder.
Gerald was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He retired from Eastalco Aluminum Co. after 29 years. He also worked part time at Hoffman Chevrolet.
He was an avid NASCAR, football and baseball fan.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patsy (Abbott) Reeder; three sons, Jeffery Reeder of Hagerstown, Timothy Reeder of Naples, Fla., and Gerald Reeder and wife, Lori, of Ridgewood, S.C.; and one sister, Charlotte Leggett of Boonsboro.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul Reeder and Bobby Reeder.
At his request, his body was cremated.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
