Gloria Cecilia (Huber) Gill, 89, of Hagerstown, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2012 at her home.
Born May 19, 1923 in Passaic, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Teresina (Lombardi) Carmilani.
She was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Hagerstown.
Gloria worked as a buyer for Bloomingdales for many years. She also owned a children's clothing store and was the commerce coordinator for the city of Clifton, New Jersey.
She enjoyed mahjong, knitting, crocheting, and antiquing.
Gloria was active in the American Legion Post 42, Singer Society of WCMFA, Gourmet Club, St. Ann's Prayer Shawl Group, Newcomers Unlimited, Catholic Golden Age, and was a Red Cross volunteer.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Henry M. Huber, and her second husband of 14 years, Clarence Gill.
Gloria is survived by a son, Wayne Huber and wife Bene of Vestal, NY., a daughter, Sandra Schuster and husband Arnie of Hagerstown; a brother, Armand Carmilani and wife Joan of Barnegat, NJ.; three grandchildren, Todd Geiman, Collien Driscoll, Cira Baraby; and six great-grandchildren, Emily, Benjamin, Simon, Nicholas, Alexis, and Chloe.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 1525 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, with Father Martin S. Nocchi as celebrant. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Friends will be received on Monday from 7-8:30pm at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
