Gloria Lucille Slate, 90, of Hagerstown, passed away, Wednesday, September 7, 2016, at NMS Health Care, Hagerstown.
Born April 6, 1926 in Hagerstown she was the daughter of the late, John Calvin and Wavie (Youngblood) McNamee. In addition to her parents she also was preceded in death by two brothers, John C. McNamee, Jr. and William McNamee; six sisters, Phyllis Martin, Doris Blair, Donna Repp, Emilie McNamee, Jean George and Mary Clark, a step brother, Roy and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Slate was a homemaker and a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Hagerstown.
She was a 1944 graduate of Hagerstown High School.
Mrs. Slate is survived by two daughters, Sharon K. Slate and Teresa M. Crawford and husband Ralph, all of Hagerstown; her former husband, Robert T. Slate, Jr.; two grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; two step great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown is assisting the family with the arrangements.
