Grace Ileda House

Grace Ileda (Reeder) House, 85, of Hagerstown, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Born May 12, 1925 in Benevola, Md., she was the daughter of the late Hubert Roland and Isabel C. (Martz) Reeder.
She had worked as a riveter at Fairchild, and went on to work at Dorbee Dress Factory and Avalon Manor in Hagerstown. Grace was a caregiver and loved to help sick people. She also enjoyed gardening.
Grace was preceded in death by her loving husband, Norwood H. House, who passed away on Feb. 2, 1984.
She is survived by her daughter, Connie J. House of Hagerstown; two brothers, George A. Reeder of Gaithersburg, Md. and Kenneth E. Reeder of Edgewater, Fla.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Helen Higdon, and a brother, Donald L. Reeder.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010 at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Doug Courter officiating. Mausoleum encryptment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
