Harlis Harlan Davis, Sr.

Harlis Harlan Davis, Sr., 85 of Hagerstown and Myrtle Beach, SC, passed away, Thursday, April 14, 2016 at the Conway Medical Center, Conway, SC.
Born May 18, 1930 in Roanoke, Virginia he was the son of the late, Rupert B. and Bertie E. (Duncan) Davis. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by four siblings, Guida Shepherd, Claxton Davis, Carlis Davis and Beatrice Witt.
Mr. Davis retired as a self employed truck broker.
He was a member of the Hagerstown Church of the Brethren; Hagerstown Lodge No. 217 A.F. Scottish Rite of Freemasonry; Ali Ghan Shrine, Sayara Car Unit; Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Hagerstown Forrest No. 95; B.P.O. Elks No. 378; F.O.E. Aerie 694 and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 992.
Mr. Davis is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Laura C. (Coffman) Davis; two children, Harlis H. Davis, Jr. of Stafford, Va. and Linda C. Bianco of Ocean Isle Beach, NC; four grandchildren, Lisa Guamer, Michelle Wittrien, Lindsay Ringley and Thomas Bianco and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Rev. Donald Shepherd officiating.
Entombment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery Mausoleum.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00-2:00 P.M.
