Harry Phillip â??Gusâ? Maus Jr., 46, of Hagerstown, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.
Born Aug. 8, 1966, in Cheverly, Md., he was the son of Nancy Catherine â??Cathyâ? (Catron) Maus of Boonsboro and the late Harry Phillip Maus Sr.
Gus was a 1984 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He was employed as a truck technician for Criswell Chevrolet, Gaithersburg.
He was a member of Clopper-Michael Post No. 10, Sons of the American Legion, Boonsboro, and the Richard Pentz Tuesday night bowling league, Hagerstown.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his loving wife, Lauren R. (Garfinkel) Maus; one son, Nickolos Maus of Hagerstown; two daughters, Kelli Morrow and husband, Joseph, of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Kerri Bladen and husband, Robert, of Hagerstown; one brother, Michael S. Maus of Boonsboro; and one grandson, Nickolos Rylan Maus.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with the Rev. Mark C. Mooney officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
