Harry William Jones, Sr

Harry William Jones, Sr., 85, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, January 11, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born October 22, 1928, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late, Oscar and Catherine (Rowe) Jones. In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Patricia Ann and Cynthia Louise Jones.
Mr. Jones was a 8 year veteran of the US Marine Corps.
He retired as a truck driver at Bonded Carriers in Martinsburg.
He was a member of the Rehoboth United Methodist Church, Williamsport and the Joseph C. Herbert Post No. 222 American Legion, Clear Spring.
Mr. Jones is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Janet E. (Rudisill) Jones; three sons, Harry W. Jones, Jr. and wife Aleta of Hagerstown and their children, Melissa Staup and husband George, Eric Jones and wife Jessie and Nicole Heffner and husband Bill; Ricky Lee Jones and wife Kathy of Hagerstown and their children, Jeany Cross and husband Joe, Wendy Taylor and husband Jamie and Ricky Lee Jones, II and wife Toni; Timothy W. Jones and wife Cindy of Hagerstown and their children, Taylor Lea Jones and Michelle Rouzee and ten great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown, with associate Pastor Kevin Smoot officiating.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, from 6-8 P.M. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown.
