Helen Elizabeth Leasure

Helen Elizabeth Leasure, of Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 2, 2011, at Meritus Medical Center.
Born Aug. 27, 1923, in Hollidaysburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Lynn K. and Myrtle (Taylor) Fasnacht.
In 2005, Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Vernon Leasure.
She graduated from Altoona High School in 1942.
Helen was a member of the First Christian Church.
She was a cancer survivor. Helen enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She also loved bowling, playing the organ, going to her card club and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Helen is survived by her four children, two daughters, Nancy Leasure of Hagerstown, and Jeanne Slate of State Line, Pa.; two sons, Kenneth Lynn Leasure of State Line, and Randy Lee Leasure of Lake Tahoe, Nev.; four grandchildren, Terry Leasure, David Leasure, Chet Weller and Colt Leasure; three great-grandchildren, Heather Leasure, Alaina and Benjamin Leasure.
She was also preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Friends will be received at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, Md.
There will be no viewing.
Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Rest Haven Cemetery.
