Helen V. Glaze of Hagerstown, passed away Monday, March 26, 2018 at Hagerstown Health Care Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 18, 1928, on Ridge Rd. in St. Line, PA, she was the daughter of the late Roy Jacob and Rosie Mae (Witmer) Bitner.
She worked as a homemaker.
She enjoyed Jim and Fay Powers Music Series at Pen Mar Park.
Helen was a 64 year member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 43 years, Clyde B. Glaze, who passed away June 26, 1989.
Helen is survived by a daughter, Judy A. Verdier and her husband, David G. Verdier whom she loved as a son; two sisters, Catherine Snyder and Mary Marie Carter all of Hagerstown; several nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great-nieces.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by five brothers, Charles, Edward, Guy, Harold and Eugene Lynn Bitner.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown, with Pastor Chad Carter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.
